An action packed nail biter of a match tonight at Barrow Lane ended in extra time when Goonellabah Hornets finally caved in to relentless pressure from the young Italo Stars 2nd Division team, who finished strong 5-2. After a tough back and forward game the scores at full time were locked at 2-2, but in extra time the girls finally picked the lock on the Hornets back four and were able to slot home three goals in 12 minutes.
